TIPS FOR BEGINNERS:
Welcome to All One Yoga!
At All One Yoga we strive to provide you with highly skilled instructors dedicated to helping you build strength, serenity, and focus. Whether you are a novice or advanced practitioner, our small class size allows you more personal attention with our teachers. Our intimate softly lit studio provides a warm, vibrant, and safe environment for you to explore the practice of yoga. Although we offer a variety of yoga classes, we believe there is something here for every one. Come join the All One Yoga community!
New Student Guide
Explore alloneyogaboston.com. Access our current class schedule, read class descriptions, purchase class packages, and sign up for classes and workshops.
Arrive 10-15 minutes early. Always check in at the front desk - even if you made an online reservation. Use a scan card for quick sign - in.
Dress appropriately. Wear comfortable, loose or form fitting clothing. Layers help to adjust for temperature changes during and after class. Yoga clothing is available in studio for purchase. All classes are done barefoot.
Practice on an empty stomach. Avoid eating 2 hours prior to yoga or pilates classes. If you need some quick energy, fruit or juice would be okay before class. Drink plenty of water before and after class. We have a cold water system for your use and offer Smartwater for purchase.
Purchase a yoga mat. Having your own mat supports your commitment to your practice and ensures its cleanliness. Mats are available for purchase at the studio. Mats to rent are also available.
Leave shoes, belongings, and cell phone outside of studio. Leave belongings and your turned OFF cell phone in a cubby in the studio lobby. This helps us preserve the sacred nature of the studio. We recommend taking your valueables inside the studio.
Notify the teacher of injuries or medical conditions, ie: pregnancy. This helps the teacher know how to assist you and give you modifications.
Practice often. 3 to 5 times per week is recommended for rapidly building a strong practice. 1- 2 times a week will accomplish this goal, just over a longer period of time.
Support your practice... by taking a Private yoga lesson. Spend an hour with an expert teacher to receive specific attention tailored to your needs before you begin group classes or in addition to.
